The FDA Discovery Of Viagra-Like Ingredients In Coffee A Wake Up Call For Coffee Lovers

FDA discovery about coffee and Viagra.

The Coffee Industry has made news this week with the FDA’s revelation that some coffee was found to contain some Viagra-like ingredient that warranted its recall. The New of Kopi Jantan Traditional Natural Herbs Coffee was found to have a content that is commonly active in Viagra, the report hinted. The product hit the market with many customers seeking to buy it little they did they know that it would be recalled.
The FDA discovery says that those who got the instant coffee from the shelves were consuming something more than just coffee. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) contends that many customers who picked the coffee with Viagra from the stores did not know the undisclosed contents.

The ingredient that in question is desmethyli carbodenafil, which is designed the same as the active ingredients found in Viagra. ViagThe product, which is said to have been manufactured by Bestherbs Coffee LLC, a Texas firm made headlines when its products within North Texas, the country and outside the US was recalled from the stores to investigate the undisclosed ingredients whose effects are disastrous for normal people.
The ingredients, according to the FDA have the potential to cause serious health problems, especially when paired with nitrates commonly found in drugs that treat heart-related problems and diabetes in men. The other reason why the product was recalled is failure of the company to declare presence of milk, which doesn’t go down well with people who have allergies when they take dairy products.

So could you be one of the customers who consumed the coffee? Fortunately, the FDA says that the instant drink, which has been on the shelves from 2014, is yet to be declared to have caused any illness or health complications among users. The company on the other hand says that the coffee’s mix is what inspired more people to demand it. The product has been reported to trade in many markets, including Tequila in Mexico, the news said.

Nevertheless, this not unusual since more other coffee types have been faulted before by the FDA for containing chemicals of the same class of sildenafil. In 2010, the NPR’s Scott Hensley reported that the “Magic Power Coffee” a beverage that contained aphrodisiac ingredients attracted a similar reaction from the Federal regulation because of failure to disclose presence of hydroxythiohomosildenafil, a chemical that is structurally similar to those found in Viagra. This coffee joins the ranks of other two coffees, Stiff Bull Herbal Coffee and Caverlo Natural Herbal Coffee, which were recalled for having ingredients that are similar to those found in Bertherbs’ Instant coffee drink.

The coffee has been marketed in many enticing ways with the Malaysian sellers claiming that its ingredients are extracts from the Tongkat Ali roots, which researchers say is known to boost the level of testosterone in men. Although the company remains silent about the accusations, it has started to recall the product from customers and stores.

This is the latest case where the FDA has recalled a coffee product in 2017. Its primary concern is the ability of the ingredient to reduce blood pressure to unimaginably lower levels.
